SANZAF is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO)
SANZAF's signature seasonal project, Operation Winter Warmth will be launched nationally at all its offices in South Africa. The reason for this is that changing weather patterns across the country renders many of the most disadvantaged communities vulnerable to the cold.

BEYOND THE BLANKET

OWW-2012-A4-posterSANZAF's signature seasonal project, Operation Winter Warm, was officially launched today at all 30 plus offices in South Africa. However, as we have come to expect of SANZAF, not only we reaching out to the most deserving, but we are introducing yet another twist in keeping with the theme of dignity.

SANZAF will this year pilot, in select areas, a new approach to our annual Operation Winter Warm campaign. We will distribute warm winter knitwear and other winter clothing such that the intended beneficiaries will get to choose what they want.

Partnering with organisations in Riverley, Newclare, Eldorado Park and Itereleng (Pretoria), SANZAF will serve approximately 500 families by giving them a choice between a range of items.

SANZAF and Cell C (Trade Route Mall and Signet Terrace) are pleased to announce that they will be cohosting the annual Take a Girl Child to Work Day initiative on Thursday, 31 May 2012. SANZAF is seeking the assistance of 30 professional volunteers (ladies only) to mentor grade 10 and 11 pupils for a day.

Approximately 30 pupils have been selected for the campaign and they come mainly from socially challenged communities around Lenasia and Zakariyya Park. All of them are active members of SANZAF's Teenagers Against Drug Abuse programme, a fantastic school based peer pressure group that promote positive lifestyle free of drugs.
