SANZAF - Bursary Programme

Bursary Applications are now open!

The SANZAF Education, Empowerment & Development Programme (SEED) is SANZAF’s vehicle for meaningful, long-term upliftment through education, skills training and personal development. By empowering students with access to higher education, the SANZAF Bursary Programme enables future leaders to achieve their potential and contribute positively to society.

SANZAF supports the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) “2025 Fully Subsidised FREE Higher Education and Training” for South Africans and encourages students to apply at www.nsfas.org.za in addition to the SANZAF bursary.

Required Documents:

✅ Certified copy of your South African ID

✅ Testimonials from your school or Imaam

✅ Proof of income (parents/guardian/spouse/state grant/self-employed)

✅ Motivational letter - Why do I require a bursary?

Only Applications with all requested documents will be considered

How to Apply

Complete the application form – Apply to the SANZAF regional office in the area where you reside.

Submit supporting documents – Ensure all documents are uploaded/handed in; incomplete applications will be disqualified.

Bursary Committee Review – Applications will be assessed and shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.

Attend the interview – Dates, times and venues will be communicated via email.

Await outcome – Feedback will be provided by your regional office.

Our Process

1. The Bursary Committee will review and shortlist potential candidates.

2. Interview dates, venues and time slots will be communicated via email.

3. Interviews will be conducted and all applicants are to ensure that they are available on these dates.

4. All supporting documentation must be submitted. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

5. Candidates will receive feedback regarding application status as per regional office.

6. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation of pledge letter.

7. All payments will be made directly into the account of the institution.

8. Applicants must secure their own registration fees.

9. Students will not be entitled to withdraw any funds paid by SANZAF even if the balance is in their favour.

10. The information supplied in the application form is confidential. Where necessary some information will be made available to members of SANZAF.
