Vocational Training
SANZAF's Vocational Training Programme is designed to uplift and empower individuals with practical skills across various industries. Through targeted courses ranging from caregiving and engineering to baking and digital literacy, the programme helps beneficiaries become financially independent and ready for the job market. It reflects SANZAF’s commitment to restoring dignity through skill-building and employment access.
Early Childhood Development (ECD)
The ECD programme gives unemployed individuals, especially women, the opportunity to gain qualifications in early childhood care. Graduates are empowered to either work in established crèches or launch their own childcare centres, creating sustainable income while nurturing the next generation. This initiative contributes to both community upliftment and long-term educational development.

Career Day Event – Inspiring the Leaders of Tomorrow
On Mandela Day, SANZAF hosted a powerful Careers Day event in partnership with Willowton Oil and Regent Business School in Durban. Over 700 eager learners gathered to explore career paths, gain critical insights and be inspired by industry professionals and motivational speakers. The event served as a bridge between ambition and access, guiding learners to make informed decisions about their futures.
Highlights included Brother Edris Khamissa’s motivational keynote, tech entrepreneur Ml Bilal Kathrada’s insights into innovation and bursary guidance from SANZAF’s Yasmin Alladin. Expert panels in health sciences and higher education readiness added depth, while institutions showcased a range of study options. SANZAF’s Careers Day was a celebration of opportunity and empowerment, true to the spirit of Mandela Day.
Bursaries
The bursary programme enables underprivileged students to pursue tertiary education and realise their academic potential. SANZAF provides full and partial funding, easing the financial burden on students and families. This support opens doors to opportunity, uplifts communities and nurtures a future generation of skilled professionals.

Islamic Studies
SANZAF supports students dedicated to Islamic education by providing bursaries and funding to madrasas. These learners often go on to become spiritual leaders or Huffādh, preserving Islamic knowledge and strengthening community faith. The programme ensures access to authentic learning pathways grounded in tradition and moral responsibility.
Youth & Community
Through the Mentoring Youth (MY) Programme, SANZAF engages high school learners in leadership, personal development and career readiness. By helping youth set goals, gain confidence, and plan for life after school, the programme fosters responsible, empowered citizens. It is an investment in the future strength and resilience of our communities.
